I made up my own route to do a thru hike from Baring Head in Wellington to Waiaka Bay at East Cape.
I started on 13 March 2020 and completed 132 km in 10 days when the news of a lockdown due to Covid 19 was announced. That put an end to the hike as I needed to travel back to my Mothers house to spend lockdown with her.
I recommenced the trail on 2 Oct 2020 and completed another 372 km before I fell down a cliff and ended the hike due to injury.
