Day 40 – 1 May 19. Zero in Tehatchapi
Today Zero Km
I slept in to around 0900 and then got up and had a coffee. I spent the day relaxing and catching up on my videos and blogs. I had my pastries from Kohens Bakery for breakfast and some chips for lunch.
At 1530 there were a group of us that needed things in town and I was the only one that could drive so I drove the van and Crow navigated.
We dropped off most of the group at the supermarket and then headed to the trail head at Hightway 58 to drop off Sherpa. We then rushed to the post office so I could pick up my package of gaiters and then did a near rolling pickup of the group and back to Brenda’s. She needed the van so we had been rushing to get back in time.
That evening was spent relaxing.

What do you mean you were the only one who could drive?
Others were not comfortable driving a van or didn’t have a license
Cool. Sometimes hikers get drunk in town. Even in the morning. Just wondering.
